Dennis Publishing’s volume of titles meant that managing customer behavior across its various brand sites was extremely challenging before Qubit. With very little visibility when it came to user activity due to the complex nature of its sites, the publisher needed a better understanding of their customer’s digital interactions. Getting the basics right and making best practice changes in this area was key in boosting conversion and improving the user journey.

Urgency messaging

One of Dennis Publishing’s biggest issues centered around the timing of subscription purchases. Due to legacy systems, it can be a long wait between purchasing a subscription and receiving your first copy. Customers are unaware of this cut-off and can wait several weeks for their first magazine. Dennis Publishing was able to take advantage of Qubit’s platform to launch a countdown timer to the cut down date by which the user needs to order to receive the next issue.

Self service

One of Dennis Publishing’s principal goals was to achieve a proficient level of self-service with the Qubit platform. Empowering their team through in depth training and guidance from the consultative services arm was just as important as acquiring a flexible, easy to use technology. With the support of Qubit’s Client Services team and a series of one-to-one sessions with Qubit engineers, within six months Dennis Publishing’s team were able to independently build and launch a welcome test using JavaScript.
